The end of the business curriculum was successful. For the last few weeks of the program the students learned more practical life lessons in business. Recently, they had mock interviews to prepare them for future job placements. They were interviewing for a job at a communication company. Following the interviews, a lesson was taught to improve their skills. They are now fully prepared to interview successfully for any job. The students also had a question and answer day with our business instructor, Cyrus Mfula. They were able to gain knowledge from his years of experience in the business world. One of the MASTERS students, Jordan, said that,
"Through the business classes, I have changed how I look at things, I am now confident that I can work with any organization or business firm. Because of all that I’ve learned at the MASTERS Program, I know that I can even take care of my own business."
Overall, the students feel prepared to face their future in the business world with the confidence of Christ. Knowing and standing on His word that says they CAN do ALL things through Christ who strengthens them.
Ministry classes closed on a positive note as well. The MASTERS students have a complete understanding of the authority they have through Christ to defeat all works of the enemy. Living a culture of honor and understanding types of communication are only a couple life skills they have also learned. Not only have they learned the importance of having a relationship with God, but also how to live a lifestyle that exemplifies Him. Chama, the youngest MASTERS student, states that,
"I am very happy to say that this Program has made me a new being. I have been a Christian for most of my life. However, after attending this Program I now know my real identity and stand firm in the steadfast love of Christ. I am now able to spread the gospel through evangelism not just to the righteous but also to the unsaved people in my community. I have also grown greatly in my prayer life. Spiritually, I am growing day by day. MASTERS has made me become who I am today. I used to think of myself as a nobody but now I know that I’m someone who matters."
Knowing that one life was changed confirms that MASTERS is fulfilling Gods plan in the lives of young people. Thankfully, all students in the program have grown in the Lord immensely.
Friday November 6th was the last outreach day for the entire year. However, the whole point of the outreach day was to get the students in the habit of sharing their faith. Since the beginning of MASTERS, each of the students have grown so much in their confidence. They are leaving their comfort zones and sharing the love of Jesus with others. One day Gibson had a dream about a sharing a word with a certain man. The next day as we were out evangelizing he met that man and gave him the word God told him too. He was ecstatic that God used him in such a dynamic way. All of the students are boldly walking into bars, jails, and houses proclaiming their love for the Lord Jesus. They know that all things are possible with Christ and are praying for people to receive miracles of healing. Even though it was the last day as a group, it will never be the students last day to evangelize. They will continue sharing the love of God to the ends of the earth.
